Are Conspiracy Theorists Really not Crazy Afterall?

Hello all. Don't Post much anymore, but thought with the new swine flu story unfolding, that I might try to inject some critical and intelligent thinking in people. I for one have never been much of a conspiracy theorists. Always dismissed JFK conspiracy, Bilderbergs, etc. But, for the last two years, I have seriously been on top of everything that has been going on with the economy, military, politics, etc. I wont say that I predicted the recession, and all that, but Id say i was on top of it. Lately I have been reading all these crazy sites like abovetopsecret.com, and infowars.com. The buzz on there for about 2 months or so has been that the New World Order is taking shape with the election of Obama. The big thing that popped out to me too was these environmental nutjobs saying that the world population needs to be decreased in order to stop global warming. Now, this has been in mainstream news, not just crazy conspiracy sites. But, if you stop and think about it for a minute, that is pretty crazy. Also hillary clinton was just praising Margaret Sanger who was a big proponent of Eugenics. I wake up some days, turn on the news, read the internet news and blogs, and I am to the point that I can't believe the world we are living in right now. We are living in HISTORIC TIMES, if you haven't realized that yet, then turn off your stupid american idol, and the simpsons and pay some attention.

So, is everything that is going on right now a distraction for something bigger? Why isn't the possibility of all this being bio-terrorism being discussed? i find it a bit odd that this virus is something brand new that no one has ever seen before, and that it is simply avian flu mutating naturally. Mark my words, right here, this shit is man made. This may not be the big one, the big pandemic, but it is something for sure. And it was unleashed. Lets see what happens.

Check this out. I found this pretty awesome. I am a big tiger woods fan, but even more so now. He actually seems to be a celbrity/athlete who has common sense and a good head on his shoulders. We checked his site, and this speech is on there, so he did in fact give it. Please read:

I have never been more proud of Tiger Woods than when I
heard his 2-minute tribute to the military at the Inaugural
Celebration in Washington DC... You know he was greatly
pressured to be there. Liberals have been mad at him for a
decade for not joining their ranks. You know he didn't
want to be there. So instead of paying homage to Obama, he
paid tribute to our soldiers. Not one time did Tiger mention
Obama, the inauguration or the new administration. He knew
beforehand that his love for America, and appreciation for
our military men & women would anger them further.? But
Tiger is his own man; his father taught him to be his own
man.

Somewhere over that cold, gray Washington sky, old Earl
Woods was smiling down on his beloved son.? And there will
?be one more crying hug waiting for Tiger when he passes
through the Pearly Gates into God's arms.

One Pissed-Off Dude

I’m an American. This has always been my favorite label, but of late even that has seemed to mean less and less. Being called an American used to carry with it a certain pride and esprit de corps that now apparently is dated and passe. How else can one explain the rash of America-haters in our midst who only claim pride in America if a Leftist resides in the White House, and can only back a war effort if the decision to go to war was that of a Democrat.

I’m a Conservative. And I am also an actor who lives and works in Hollywood. Many of my friends advise me to keep that on the down-low, advise me to not speak up lest I scuttle any future employment prospects, so predominantly liberal is the entertainment biz. And yet I persist.

You see, I’m one pissed-off dude.

I’m told I’ll hurt my career if I continually spout off about Liberalism — which I see as a growing cancer in our society. Worldwide, I’ve seen Liberalism metastasize into virulent incarnations of Socialism, and, left unchecked, even into its malignant cousin, Communism. Only the arrogant or the somnambulist would think such a thing could never happen here. It’s a matter of increment. Once a group organizes into a coalition, it’s a short step to claiming the right to the property of another group. All that is necessary is for an individual’s right to personal property to become a secondary concern. The ‘needs’ of the group must supercede, dontcha know. It’s a vicious cycle – wants become needs become rights. The fact that the thievery is done at the behest of a ‘civilized’ government does not sanitize the crime.

So I’m told I should shut up. I make my living in the Hollywood community, and Hollywood is by and large run by Liberals. I’m told I need to stay quiet when the Left has their way over issues that affect my daily life. I’m told I need to learn how to get along with the Left, learn how to compromise. I need to be more open-minded. I need to be more tolerant.

I say F T S. Ask your 9-yr-old if you have trouble deciphering that. (No, wait, don’t.)

I don’t want to get along with the Left. I want to take them down. I want to expose their idiocy for what it is and reveal it as a harmful, dangerous succession of lies and deceptions. My friends say that that effort, aside from being fruitless, will cost me work. It will cost me my career. And I say Wait-a-minute, Bucko. Those folks who founded this country were willing to risk not only their careers, but their property, their families, their very lives…the least I can do in standing up for our precious freedoms is risk a silly television career. Not to compare myself with the brilliant thinkers who declared themselves independent of England and framed our Constitution…but those were some pretty pissed off dudes too. Compared to that, loss of a little TV or movie work seems pretty inconsequential. So in honor of Pissed Off Americans past and present, I rant.

I’m pissed off that everyone seems okay on having to press one for English. We’re supposed to be tolerant and understanding that maybe some folks who now live here (legally or not) might have trouble understanding what I’m saying to them if I speak in my native tongue, regardless of the extra cost to the rest of us. FTS.

I’m pissed that my sweet well-wishing friends and acquaintances now say “Happy Holidays” instead of Merry Christmas. Oh, we don’t want to offend the non-Christians, they’ll say. Again – FTS. ‘Happy Holidays’…nice and non-specific, soothingly generic. In keeping with the spirit of the season, I try not to show it – but I roll my eyes. Jeez, could you be any more spineless? Everybody walk on eggshells for the rest of your lives, living in perptual fear someone who holds a different religion, or sexual preference, or nationality is going to suffer some little offense if you actually wish them a lovely Christmas. “Oh we don’t celebrate Christmas.” “Oh, I’m so terribly sorry, I don’t mean to offend you. Please enjoy the Holiday of Winter Solstice and Earth Renewal Day or whatever your heart leads to celebrate, if indeed you are even feeling like celebrating anything.” Shut up! Smile and say thanks. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Ramadan, Soulful Kwanzaa…whatever. Smile and say Thanks.

Can we all stop taking ourselves so damn seriously for half a minute? Hey – life ain’t a popularity contest. So grow a pair. Speak your mind and if someone can’t handle it, request that they take a hike. How the hell did we ever survive life before the all-knowing, all-caring ACLU began to run interference for all our tender sensibilities? It’s a wonder any of us grew up without some crippling psychosis that drove us to chop up our grandmother. I’m old enough to remember when Common Sense ruled the day. (*cue the Cranky Old Man music)

It irks me that Democrats are always looking to raise my taxes. I’m patriotic if I take it up the bum and don’t squeal. What’s worse, they don’t even have the integrity to call them taxes. They call them ‘fees’, or even, ‘contributions’. As I learned the word, a contribution is a volitional act. Left to free choice, I say I choose to not contribute more than I already do. Let all those who say we are overtaxed stand up with me. Those who think different can form a line to the left…and we on the right will leave you completely free to contribute more. Raising taxes takes food off my family’s table. I regard people who advocate doing so in the same vein as I would the burglar I confront in the dead of night – an enemy.

I’m pissed that I study the political issues of the day, educate myself, stay informed daily by a multitude of news sources from all slants…and yet, come election day, my informed vote is cancelled by some numbskull who votes for the nicest smile, who doesn’t know who the current vice-president is, or which party controls Congress, and what’s more, doesn’t care. Am I the only one who thinks a basic intelligence and general knowledge test should be a prerequisite for voting for our leaders? No? Too radical a notion? Well, then, why not just make the winner of American Idol president and save all the drama? Everyone can text in their vote. And Paula, Randy, and Simon… the new cabinet. “Tonight the State of the Union speech will be sung by the President, backed up by Rascal Flatts…and special guest duet with Secretary of State David Archuleta…”

I’m pissed off by how soft many in our nation have become. How whimpy the tone, how spineless the resolve. What happened to that brutally real notion that people should be held responsible for his or her actions? Nowadays, it always seems to be someone else’s fault, whatever it is. Got a life of poverty, it’s rich folks doing it to you.

Alcohol addiction, substance abuse, your mother never said she loves you. Having trouble finding work, it’s the white, black, purple guys keeping you down. Your car company is going under, it’s the unfair business practices abroad and an economic downturn. Hey, nimrods – newsflash. LIFE IS HARD. The End. Get used to it, suck it up, get some spine, invent some if you have none, and GET ON WITH IT!!!! I’d like to offer, in utter compassion, and speaking on behalf of at least several like-minded bretheren out there, a class-action BITCH-SLAP to every mamby-pamby, limp-wristed douche-bag of a complainer who has the audacity to hope that we hard-working, God-fearing, America-loving taxpayers should be forced to give you one penny of our income to enable you further in your responsibility-shirking, self-destructive habits. Get your collective shiite together, friends. I am not, nor are my friends, my brother’s keeper. Though my heart is open enough to come to someone’s need should an honest and sincere calamity befall a brother or sister… when did destitution become a virtue? Did my snooze button malfunction causing me to oversleep a couple decades? When did begging become a noble venture? You see them standing there bravely, “God bless”and something about ‘can’t find work’ scrawled on their cardboard. Victims of society, of Bush/Cheney, of Ronald Reagan, of any heartless Republican administration. And worse – hey, I’ve seen the sign people on the offramps, I’ve seen the green flow as we assuage our prosperity guilt – these guys are cleaning up! Am I in the wrong business? When, dear friends, did panhandling become a lucrative industry? FTS!

(Side note: I’ve personally offered several of these beggars who had written “Will work for food” to buy them lunch if they’ll do some yard work and fence painting for me, and the reaction was always the same. Hell no! They just want cash, right now! Hmmm…and yet the sign said… Forget about the begging, whatever happened to truth in advertising?)

Who can identify virtue, when there is no shame?

And speaking of shame…have you on the Left no shame when it comes to calling evil EVIL? What’s in a name — a terrorist by any other name is a ‘Jihadist’. A freedom fighter. A rebel. But when are we going to admit that there is an evil movement out there dedicated to our destruction. And it ain’t Sarah Palin and George Bush. It’s radical Islam and they want to cut your personal head off simply because you’re not throwing in with them.

You’re not on your knees worshiping their boy Allah, so for this you and everyone like you all over the world must die and die now. But wait, it’s a ‘religion of peace’, we’re told. Wow, not the last time I looked. If Islam is a religion of peace, where are all the peace-loving Muslim leaders decrying the radicals’ murderous actions? The beheadings, the suicide bombings, the IED’s, the blowing up innocents on buses? Where are the peaceful Islamists’ protests against Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Queda, et al? You are a frog in a pot, Lefty – being boiled slowly, apparently too slowly for you to notice. Too much Climate Change on your mind to notice that the barbarians are at the gate. When the Nazis stormed into Jewish homes in 1939 I’m sure there were more than a few head-in-the sand myopic residents screaming about the troopers tracking mud on the carpet. If only they had had the ACLU to save the day… Human rights and clean carpets surely would have abound.

Speaking of climate change, while we’re at it…if the argument is over…and the facts are clear…how is it we can predict the climate twenty years hence, when we can’t even predict with much accuracy if my ass is going to get wet attending my friend’s kid’s Bar Mitzvah next weekend. When did we give the title to anyone with a PhD in front of their name the added moniker of ‘Soothsayer’? I read Paul Erhlich’s book, THE POPULATION BOMB in the early ‘70’s and it scared the begeebers out of me. By his prediction, each human being in 2008 would have less than a square meter of space to live in. (William F. Buckley voice: “Ahh…Mr. Erhlich was unavailable for comment, ahhh… but stressed the importance of keeping his line clear, lest the Nobel Prize committee call.”) And Mr. Gore – I do believe in Climate Change. It’s called summer, spring, winter and fall. Happens each year whether I drive my SUV or not. FTS!

Before I came up with the inspired notion of tossing my life away and becoming an actor…I was fully ensconsed in the science department at the University of California, Irvine. I know the way it works. The professors confided in me. You need a problem to study, better yet a crisis, or you don’t get funding for your research. It’s that simple. One professor of botany told me that these very high-tech ultra-violet cameras we were frolicking through the fields looking at flowers through cost the University $200 thousand dollars. Off my open-mouthed gape, he shrugged, “Gotta spend the money, or next year they cut us back.” So yeah, you’re going to find a ton of scientists who swear we’re killing the planet…and we desperately need another three million dollars to study the problem.

I’m confident I could find two hundred accredited scientists to join me in an exhaustive study to find out why belly button lint is demagnetizing the moon leading to global flooding…if only Bill Gates will step up with some coin. FTS!

Lastly…can we finally be done with all the hatred? George Bush is very soon to be out of a job. Time to let up on him a bit, don’t you think? Erase the hate, Lefties. You can stop proclaiming him to be the anti-christ, evil incarnate, the boogeyman, Darth Vader, or the Heartbreak of Psoriasis. The guy did his best. Like him, don’t like him, he kept us from attack for seven-and-a-half years so let it go. Your guy is in now, so relax. Have fun again. Laugh without derision. Smile without the snide. You remember how? Take off your flak jackets, it’s going to be okay. Our brave warriors did some serious ass-kicking in the Middle East, and though there’s no shortage of crazy Islamo-fascist bad guys yet to come, at least they know who they’re f*cking with.

Somehow along the way, so many of you forgot one simple, undeniable tenet: We’re the good guys. We’re not imperialists, or else we would’ve nuked the oil countries into radioactive dust, then moved in and taken the oil. We don’t ‘torture’ prisoners, or lawyers for the Gitmo ‘detainees’ would have CNN photographing the horrid scars and missing limbs. We don’t bully smaller, less developed nations. On the contrary, we expend our more precious asset: the blood of our brave, bright and courageous young men and women – all in committed effort to free them from despotic, brutal dictators. We are not brash. In 1991 we amassed a coalition of 34 nations before we acted to oust Saddam Hussein from Kuwait, and this after months and months of negotiations and U.N. resolutions. Twelve years later after waiting six months and seeing fourteen U.N. resolutions ignored by Hussein, George W. Bush had accrued a multi-national coalition and a majority vote in Congress before sending troops into Iraq. We are the big dog on the block. And yet we ask no penance from lesser countries. Instead we offer aid in the form of cash, medicine, and humanitarian help. When we go after bad guys in war, we don’t carpet bomb, or blow up civilian-filled buses. We have smart bombs that pinpoint targets to limit collateral civilian casualites. We’re the good guys. Only an entrenched self-loathing hatred of America will prevent you from seeing that. If that’s the case, you have my sympathy. But don’t let the door hit you on the way out. And yes, this is our country, whether a Democrat of a Republican occupies the White House.

Yeah, a lot of things piss me off. But I’m a ridiculously happy guy. I’m blessed with a wonderful family, terrific friends (many, many of them Liberals, oh yes), a strong Faith in God and a sweet certainty that this nation is on the side of good in the world…and that that good will overcome the bad.

I was asked by the founder of this site to write an article… an ‘opening salvo’. Considering who might read it, and who in Hollywood might be incensed, the temptation to parse words and couch my opinions was strong. But the guy in the mirror counsels me the loudest. I was always impressed with John Hancock, when, reminded that signing one’s name to that Declaration in Pennsylvania could very well lead to their deaths…solemnly stepped forward and with grand flourish signed his name in huge, legible script. In that grand spirit…

I hereby declare my independence…from the small-minded, America-hating, race-bating, Christian-bashing, class-warfare-waging, politically-correct, collectivist, Liberal Hollywood establishment.

Anybody got a problem with that, I’ll mapquest you directions to my front door, we’ll settle it like men.

INVESTOR NEEDED

Pennington Land Company

Specializing in the purchase of acreage suited for oil, gas, and coal exploration, and the harvest of mature timber.

My plan is to find land at a good price either listed for sale, for sale by owner, auctioned by the state, businesses, individuals, etc.

Once this land is found, I have a team put together that can preliminarily tell me whether or not it would be a wise choice to purchase based on the probability of there being oil, or other minerals, or a good stand of harvestable timber.

If there is a good chance for one or more of these possibilities happening, the property will be bought. Timber can be harvested fairly quickly and be paid out on. A private forrestor will be involved to insure top dollar for hardwoods, along with a logging company. A drilling company backed by investors will be involved with the oil process. A bonus payment will be paid to land owner (me)along with monthly lease and royalty payments. Timber is a lump sum payment.

If the land is only bought for timber purposes, more than likely I will sell it at a bit of a loss to unload it. That will all be factored in to profit scale of course, however, if it is in a good area and bought at a reasonable price I may either keep the land for recreational purposes (my goal is to own 1,000 acres by the time I am 40)or look to develop it for residential lots or commercial use. Of course if it is used for minerals, and as a bonus timber, then sale or retainment of the land would depend on the production of the property and lease terms with oil and or gas companies.

Overhead- Paying a private forrestor 100 dollars per consult to look at land. Gas to drive to look at and research properties. That is really about it, which is the good thing about this business, low overhead.

Employee involved in business- Myself. Down the road I may add one person to help to cover more properties to look at for possible purchase, but that would be way down the road.

What I need:

I need a person, or people that would be willing to invest in this company. I an amount of money in mind ($250,000) that I want to start with. This would enable me to get started quickly, get some land purchased, and start making an income off of them. Term wise on a loan I don't know. I will tell you up front that I do not want to be put in a situation where someone is expecting me to pay them a ton of money a month to where it would immediately cause me to fail within 6 months of starting and then have to claim bankruptcy. I am looking for someone, or a group of people that will loan me this money and be willing to be patient with me. Ideally it would be nice to not make a payment for 6 months to a year, and then look at the possibility of starting monthly payments with interest back to the investor, or maybe even lump sum installments depending on the success of the business. Alright, hell, I figured since this is my blog, I can promote myself on my own blog right? I hate to sound stupid, and I know some will skip right past this, but here is my dream. This is my idea for a business. This is what I want to do with my life. I want to be my own boss. I am so sick of sitting behind a desk, getting fatter and fatter, more and more disgruntled because the industrys that I choose end up in the tank. Don't get me wrong. I actually love the company that I work for. My family has done business with them for a long time, and I love the people I work with. Its just that there is no business right now. Mostly because the whore, the media, has destroyed it. listen, if you dont think that all that is going on around us was not somehow orchestrated, then you dont see the picture very clear. Anyways, enough of that. My following post will be an outline of my business venture.

Well, I have to admit, I am over everything that is going on with our government, economy, etc. I have come to realize that every single senator, congressman, president, etc is completely incompetent, greedy, evil, etc. We don't need these people anymore. We should start a revolution. A peaceful one of course. But, we sort of shot ourselves in the foot with our vote 3 weeks ago. Let's see how obama does. Maybe he will prove me wrong.

On to a different subject. Hunting has been terrible this year. My wife makes fun of me all the time because I never shoot a deer. Well, I trophy hunt, and it has been 4 years since I shot at a nice buck, and that buck I could not find because he got under some brush in a ditch and I couldnt find him. We did find him during rabbit season though, or what I think was left of him. Oh well. I just enjoy being out in the woods and seeing the animals. I could have shot 5 does the last time I went out, but I passed on them. Maybe I am a weenie, but both of the bigger ones had little ones with them. I didnt have the heart to pull the trigger. Plus, I didnt need the meat, so no use. I usually will pass up a doe in hopes that a hot buck will be right behind her. This year, I have seen less deer than I ever have in my life. I am sure it is because of the blue tongue disease that has happened the last two summers. It has killed a good number of the herd. Normally, there are 2-3 shooter bucks running our property. This year I have only seen one while out hunting, and 3 bucks total. Hopefully I will get lucky during muzzleloader season, but I say that every year!

Update on Obama vs. Berg Lawsuit

It was dismissed in district court by the judge. However, ask yourself this before you cast your vote. Why hasn't Obama released his records from the Illinois senate. Why hasn't he released his transcripts from his time in college. Where is his senior thesis paper? Why won't he release a list of his donors? Who is backing him? Why? Ask yourself these things before you vote. If he would just come clean, I might just vote for him myself. I just have lots of questions that still need to be answered on my part!

Well, of course there are all kinds of conspiracies going on right now. This is something I have been researching pretty extensivley here the last week. I didn't want to post too fast, and then regret it. I think we are on the cusp of something big that is about to happen. I think it also shows how corrupt our politicians on both sides, plus the mainstream media are. First, check this out. Philip Berg is a DEMOCRAT, former deputy attorney general of the state of pennsylvania, and has run for governor in that state. He isn't some wacko apparently. He has filed a suit in a pennsylvania district court calling for Obama's name to be taken off the Democratic Presidential ballot because he is not a naturally born citizen. Pretty scary stuff. I have seen the birth certificate that Obama posted on his fight the smears site. Well, problem is, first of all, it was a certificate of live birth, not a certified birth certificate. It was quickly taken down after people caught that, and started questioning the authenticity. Apparently it has been proven by thousands of graphic design artists that it is a photoshopped fake. Anyways, the thing that bothers me is what if this is true? I am not saying 100% true that it is, but what if it is? What does this mean? It means that Obama will go to jail for election fraud, along with leading members of the DNC. It will be a huge deal. Probably be race riots, etc. Supposedly, McCain's lackluster, not seeming to care what is going on attitude is because the RNC is about the drop this bomb the week before the election. Also, supposedly Phil Berg has tapes of Michelle Obama talking about this, and saying the racist whites are trying to keep Obama from being president, and a tape of his grandmother from kenya saying Obama was born in Kenya, and she was there, at the hospital, along with his half brother and sister. There are also kenyans that have been on video that have said over and over that obama is a native kenyan son, and they are excited that an african could go to america and become president. I always start my posting off like this, more and more. I havent written in a while, because I am trying to sware off of politics. However, I can't not post today. I thought the American People had won for once on Monday when the disgusting bailout plan was defeated. Then, of course, the manipulated stock market took a crash on monday, when they did't pass the bill. But then, guess what? It went up the day after that on hopes that they would pass a new one. This is all disturbing to me. We do not live in a free society anymore. It is becoming more and more apparent to me that things are not what they seem. George Bush came on Television with his emissary Hank Paulson telling us the sky was falling, and they needed immediate action and power to save it. Guess what you idiots, the american people do not want to bailout your fat cat friends on wall street. You use your fearmongering chicken little speeches to scare us and tell us of our impending doom. The market is correcting itself. Nothing more, nothing less. It is Karma, pure and simple. What goes around comes around. Our economy is very sick, and now it must take its medicine. Those that did business the wrong way, must fall by the wayside. But don't fret fellow citizen. There will be new banks and businesses to take their place. That will do business ethically and right. However, if this bill gets passed, forget it. Forget all that. We will be living in the same credit driven society we are in now, and will continue to rack up massive amounts of debt consumer wise, and government wise. I am really surprised china hasn't pulled the plug on us yet. I fear it will be only days or weeks until they do. You think this is bad, wait til the do that. They aren't our friends. And the thing that further insenses me is that no one understands where this money is coming from! It isnt truly taxpayer money. It is coming to us from guess who? China and the Middle East. Yeah, look it up. Add another trillion to the national debt. Good God man, when does it end. Ive been telling you that glenn beck has been on this for a year now. Everything that guy predicts comes to fruition.

I can't believe I am saying this, but if a bunch of people decided to start a revolution in this country, I would be all for it. I would be out there with all my guns and knifes going at it. Maybe we should organize it on the internet? Something has to be done. Lets start in the voting booth in a month and vote out all of the people who are going to sell us down the river with this bill first. Then we can see where we stand after about 6 months and make a decision from there. Advice for now? Buy guns if you don't have any. If you have them, stock up on bullets. You may need them either way.

Oil, the economy, and the idiots around us

Okay, Ive been gone from posting for over a month, but I just cant sit on the sidelines much longer with everything that is going on right now. We have banks failing left and right. Mortgage lenders going under. Possible impending doom for fannie mae and freddie mac. When will the people in washington learn? Nothing is being done. We have over 4 dollar a gallong gas now. Nothing is being done. We have signs that this economic crisis could deepend and broaden this fall and winter, and nothing is being done. I myself am sick of it. Oil dropped ten bucks in two days. It means nothing. In two days, it will be back up that amount plus a buck or two because some idiot in nigeria threatened a refinery, or A-Jad in Iran gets huffy puffy again.

I am starting to wonder if there isn't something darker behind all of this. Didn't Osama Bin Laden say one way he was going to bring down the U.S. was by destroying our economy? Looks like it would be safe to say that may be happening. And at the hands of what mainly.....besides the housing market? Oil. Where do we get oil? Most of it comes from the middle east I believe. I think we are in the midst of one of the biggest scams in the history of the world. A lot of people are suffering, but there are a few making billions off of all of this. Ill let you decide what you think. My mind is made up.

Well, I haven't written anything for a while, because I find it harder and harder to do lately. I watch the news, and what is going on, and it is nothing but bad stuff. I see a presidential election with 3 people that are well short of what we need after the mess of the last 8 years. Obama is a liar, a crook, basically, he is a typical politician. Hillary is going to stay in the primary until she tears apart the democratic party. McCain sometimes doesn't know which way is up. I think we are screwed either way! Congress is debating a bill that open the way up for legislation dealing with the hypothetical theory of global warming:

If these idiots could actually pass this bill (which they won't) then we would see an immediate tax put on gas that would raise gas prices $1.50. Are you freaking kidding me? It would also increase home energy bills by about 40-45%. How are we going to afford this? We can't afford to put gas in our cars right now. We can't put gas in our cars to drive to work, so we can put gas in our cars. Forget about saving money. You can't do it right now. The average american can't do it right now. There are on average about 1,000 trucking companies going out of business every month now. They can't afford to put diesel in their trucks to ship our food and products. If these goons in congress and the senate don't start looking out for their people they are representing, they are going to awake one night to a capitol lawn full of people with torches and pitchforks. We basically have a congress that has been hijacked by environmental whacko's who are blocking bills that would help us cope with energy prices, drill for new oil (wouldn't want to hurt the not really endangered polar bear!), and want to pass crazier and crazier legislation to handcuff businesses and consumers. I just don't know what to think anymore. Which is worse, the civil liberties we have given up since 9-11 (which honestly, i have never really felt an effect of), or the thought of a president (Barack Obama) who thinks because the international community doesn't like it that we can't drive our trucks, SUV's, and eat hamburgers from fast food joints. Shut up. Go to Canada and be a socialist. America is a free country, but it may not be for long. With whacko's on the right, and crazies on the left, our freedoms are under fire like you wouldn't believe. We had better wake up now, and vote these people out, or send them a message, or we are going to wake up and not recognize the country that our fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, great grandfathers, and great grandmothers fought for to make it what it is today.

Barack Obama, Barack Obama, Barack Obama. I see him on Television. I see his ads online. I got a call from some idiot reminding me to vote on Tuesday. I mean, if you have a tv, and any brain cells and a decent short term memory, you know that May 6th is the Indiana Primary. You also probably know that we actually MATTER for once in a democratic nomination. I'm no democrat, so it doesn't matter to me. At least, not this time around. I have TRIED and TRIED to like Obama. Hell, I was excited when he announced he was running for president. It was something different. A relatively young, mixed race, new face on the political scene. He was something new. for sure. Something big. There was a buzz about him. He is a great orator. He supposedly works very bi-partisanly. I liked the sound of it.

Now however, I don't like it. I don't like the sheep that he seems to be leading to their slaughter. The people that blindly follow him when there are obviously some very serious flaws with his judgement and character. Liberals will seemingly give their candidates a free pass no matter what. I really don't like that. Listen. If some republican idiot goes out and gets a DUI, cheats on his wife, molests children, is involved in a prostitution ring, or has a secret gay sex tryst uncovered, that person is done in my eyes. I say get rid of them. Resign immediately. However, on the democratic side, if you sit and listen to a racist, anti-american, radical, insane preacher for 20 years, are friendly with a known and unrepentant terrorist (William Ayres), are really friendly with a known crook in Chicago, and believe in black liberation theology you get a free pass because you are the messiah that they are looking for.

I wrote last week that I felt better about Barack after he denounced Rev. Wrong. I do. However, things continue to pop up that raise doubts about barack obama's judgement and character. The whole Rev. Wright controversy has obviously negatively affected Obama's campaign in North Carolina, and Indiana. I have to say though. I am going to vote tomorrow, and I am going to be excited to see what happens. I just wonder what the people who were at Roberts stadium a couple weeks ago, passing out on the floor, and in awe of the great one are going to do if he loses Indiana? Also, we haven't seem the end of the controversies for Barack. A photo came out of William Ayres stomping on an American Flag today, and Barack's new preacher at Trinity, whom he described as "a wonderful, young pastor", had a crazy, comparitavely insane first sermon in the pulpit. Well, I must say, even though I will not vote for either one of them, Barack and Hillary are pulling out all the stops. They are doing it all here in the good old state of Indiana. It is pretty cool to be honest with you. Having all these hollywood celebs (if you can call Ted Danson a celeb, and Sean astin, Sam From Lord of the Rings) singers, and political dignitaries. I for one did not go to the stadium to see Obama when he came. Neither did I go to see Hillary. I know what they are about. I don't want what they have to offer. I want someone in there with some balls (no offense to Hill). Someone who has been through rough times, someone who is a fighter. John McCain is my man. I know there are a lot out there that don't like him, but even if he is far from conservative, that is fine with me. He isn't a socialist, marxist left wing demo-nut. However. Bill O'Relly scoring an interview with Hillary last night, proves to Moveon.org that they don't have control over the party like they think they do. Not even their idle little threats to harm either candidate if they were to go on Fox News dissuaded Hillary. Now, Obama needs to go on there. These left wing jerks and thugs don't understand that they are a small fringe of the democratic party. There are lots of Reagen democrats and moderate democrats who watch fox, and they are only hurting themselves if they don't go on . Thanks Hillary, for having some balls, and standing up to these whacko's.

My last post about Obama still stands true. I do feel better about him now after he finally refudiated Jeremiah Wrong. The thing that concerns me though, is how he arrived at doing it. Why did it take for Wright to repeat, what it seems to me he has preached from him pulpit for 20 years, for Obama to finally distance himself. I don't get it. Barack, surely you knew after being there for 20 years, and sharing such a close relationship with this man. It was obvious you were emotionally distressed after you came out and threw him under the bus. He was close. A mentor. But now you say he was never your spiritual advisor, Not a mentor, just your pastor. But, if that is true, then why did you give him so much credit a year ago for your personal life and rise to fame? You spoke of him as a father. You even named your book after one of his sermons! I'm afraid all of this will result in a challenge of Obama's true character and judgement.

Also, One other thing that has been on my mind lately.....The way Wright threw Obama under the bus at the National Press Club interview, makes me kind of wonder. Just Thoughts

I have been so wrapped up with politics lately in my blogging, that I haven't taken the time to just write some thoughts that I have been having. This will be a rambling, random post, but it helps sometimes to just write things. I went down to Talladega over the weekend for the race with my friends Whitney, Phill Blessinger, Phil Bradley, and Ben Stephens. It was a ton of fun. Whit and I drove down friday night, and we made many stop on the way. We didnt get there until 2:00 in the morning, so we promptly went to sleep, and managed to toss and turn until about 10 a.m. We spent the day sitting at our campsite in the sun, just shooting the breeze, drinking some beer, enjoying cigars and some kodiak. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the real fun which is the night time, got cancelled because we had a good storm roll in. We tarped our canopy tent so the rain wouldnt get us, and played some card games and hung out. Ben had a bit too much to drink, fell off a cooler, and then laid on the wet ground snoring for about 45 minutes. Once we roused him by slapping him in the face with a hot dog, he then laughed hysterically at me and whitney as we stood by the roadside yelling at cars to "SLOW DOWN, THIS IS A DAMN NEIGHBORHOOD!" Luckily, we slept through the rain, and got up early the next morning and were lucky enough to have the rain hold off long enough for NASCAR to get the race in. It was just a great time, and it was sad to go back to work on Monday.

Lately I have been thinking about looking for a new job, and have decided I need to now. Things aren't so good in the mortgage business, and there is a lot of unneeded stress at work, on top of not making any money anymore. I think eventually you have to just take a step back and evaluate. I need to find a job where I work normal hours, have a good guarenteed salary, and am happy. I want to see my wife more often and just be in a better mood. With the economy the way it is, it sucks all around for middle of the road people. You just have to buck up, and take it, and try to have a little fun so you don't go crazy. I have a good business idea with the logging and land stuff, but I need some money to get my LLC formed. I was going to do that with my commission check from a couple months ago, but we put it in savings, and are hesistant to spend it right now with how things are. Maybe Ill do it with the rebate check I will get. Maybe I can put it to good use. I am also starting to realize now may be a good time if you can find an idea for a business or investment to take advantage of the economy being weak. I think real estate (land) and stocks are the way to go, because once things start getting better, which they will, you will have bought cheap, and sold high for sure.

Another thing that has been on my mind lately is how much I love my dogs. I know, it sounds stupid. They are just animals. To me though, they are more than that. They are good pals. They are always happy to see me. They are always wanting my attention. My black Lab Sally goes down stairs with me when I get home at night and lays on the couch next to me. Its nice to have a buddy like that. Sadie does too, but she is a mommas girl, so a lot of times, she will come and hang out for a bit, but then it is back up to the bedroom with momma to sleep in my spot on the bed (on top of the covers) and wait for me to come and go to sleep. God Bless them, they are great (and rex too, but he is still warming up to us!)

I guess I am going to ask for a grant, welfare, or a handout here. If some rich, nice person wants to float me a grant for about 100,000 dollars so I can get my business started, I will tell ya, I believe that within 2 years I can pay it back, plus some interest, and get my business going. If you are feeling charitable, and want to see a young man achieve his dreams, just let me know. But no funny business. I dont need to get screwed!

Well, I have to be honest, after hearing Rev. Wrights comments to the National Press Club, I was sick to my stomach. This guy is crazy. There is no doubt about it. This whole thing with Rev. Wright has been a bit of a drag on Obama. Just the utter hatred, and insanity of the things that this guy has said, gave me cold chills, and made me feel very offended, and feel feelings that i haven't felt before towards someone. I didn't like it. He was attacking my country. And he was attacking me. White America in his eyes is the devil. We deserved 9/11. Our chickens had come home to roost. The audacity of him to say that his comments were taken out of context just completely dumbfounded me. He said what he said. And now it seems he wants to expound on them and add fuel to the already hot burning fire.

Then comes today. Barack finally came out and categorically denied the Rev. Wright and any question on him agreeing with his views. While Barack still has a lot of questions to answer, it has eased my uneasiness about him. If he is just being a politician, then he has at least convinced me. I'm not saying that I will vote for him, but if he were to win, I don't think I will move to a different country. But, that could always change! Check out what Obama had to say:

Earthquakes and UFO's

So, what in the world is going on here lately? Since the beginning of the year, there have been mass UFO sightings in Stephenville, Texas, and on Sunday near and around Phoenix Arizona. Here in Indiana, we have had 23 earthquakes and aftershocks since friday. Holy Cow. What is going on? I will be completely honest. I was SCARED TO DEATH when I awoke friday morning to the earthquake. It was 4:37 a.m. At first, i thought it may be a wreck, and someone hit my house. Then I thought maybe it was a tornado, but I looked out the window, and the wind wasnt even blowing. My house kept shaking though. And my doggies started freaking out. I got more and more scared as the shaking continued. But I think more than anything, the rumbling freaked me out. It was like thunder coming from the ground. I immediately turned on the news in my bedroom, and byron douglas was saying we were having an earthquake. Wow. Then, we had another one about 6 hours later. And numerous aftershocks that I haven't really felt. But 23 all together, man that is a lot of activity. Maybe the sparkle is started to wear off. Maybe the controversies recently are starting to catch up with him. The media is starting to sway a bit on their liberal bias for him. Hillary whooped that ace tonight in Pennsylvania. That tells me that hard working, blue collar democrats dont like to be called bitter, or told that they cling to their guns and religion. All I can envision for the next couple months is more drama in this democratic primary. It is hilarious to be honest with you. Remember the Electile dysfunction comments dems threw around about the republican primaries? Looks like someone else is having trouble with dysfunction.

I was told today that I was biased against Barack Obama. You are damn right I am biased against Barack Obama. I am not one of these fools who has been caught up in the handsome man, in the nice suit, that reads well off a teleprompter. This guy was doing that earlier here in my city tonight. Okay, listen, Im sorry. I dont believe that Obama is a bad guy. I dont think he is evil. I think he definately has a lot of people fooled. I just want you to do your research on him. That is all. I'm Back!

Well, after some long breaks of not writing, I am back tonight. Im sure the few people who read my blog regularly have long left. If not, thanks for staying with me. I have just been so stressed out with my job, trying to start working out again, on vacation, getting ready for turkey season, and most of all.........so fed up with politics that I was worried I would give myself a heart attack if I kept going at the pace I was.

I will tell you one thing. Day by day I am more and more concerned about the direction our country is heading. I will tell you right now. I am voting for McCain. No doubt about it. The democrats seriously worry the hell out of me. While I have been away, I have still been staying on top of things. There were so many times where I wanted to get on here and blog about something that was said on Glenn Beck, Hannity and Colmes, Bill O'Reilly, Lou Dobbs, etc. But, I forced myself not to. I have been perusing the courier and press message boards and reading comments. I have also been checking out a new site I found called redblueamerica.com. This is a great site if you want to read views from both sides, which I do. So, some things I have seen that concern me. I see comments by obvious liberals and left wingers that remind me of nearly hitleresque rhetoric, and it is now apparent to me their socialist agenda. There is a left wing conspiracy. To destroy capitalism, redistribute wealth, and thrust us into a socialist government. Throw out the constitution, and start it all over in their view. The first time I saw Jonah Goldberg (author of Liberal Facsism) on Glenn Beck and then Hannity and Colmes, I thought, come on now, this is getting a little crazy. Is that all you republicans can do is criticize the other party for having ideas and solutions to our problems. You say we are in a dream world. I think you conservatives have been so stuck on your capitalistic dogma that you no longer have creative brain cells in your head. For years we have had conservative republicans uphold this idea of capitalism. Look at where it has gotten us as a whole. There is a small group of rich people that hold 80% of the money and the rest of us have to fight for the other 20%. Talk about someone ruling with their thumb, look at the gas prices, whos thumb are you under now?

We need to take that 80% and distribute it out to those who are having a hard time and need to raise a family. Take that 80% and provide health care to everyone, not just the wealthy. The most anyone should be able to make is $50k. If you make more than that it needs to be given to those less fortunate. This is how communities work.

Well, first off, let me extend an apology to those who actually check my blog every day for updates. I took some time off because actually watching and reading all the political stuff that has been going on just about wore me out. Mainly because I end up getting all worked over it. I had to write tonight though because this whole Barack Obama thing has me kind of freaked out. I watched intently when the news stations aired the controversial sermons and statements of Rev. Wright from Trinity United Church. Let me recomment that you do a google search on Black Liberation Theology to get started.

The people out there that are saying this is a non issue are absolutely insane. Guess who it is saying this? The left. I just honestly want people to ask themselves, if this had been me going to a "White" Church, and my pastor was spewing the same hate as Mr. Wright, and where the word white is used by Mr. Wright, replace that with Black. I would never be allowed to run for a political office because everyone would think I was a racist. Im watching Greta Van Susteron right now, and there is some jackass on here talking about how Rev. Wright's words were taken out of context. SHUT THE HELL UP! This idiot Barack Obama talks about be a uniter. Uniting races, blah blah blah. Read what Black Liberation Theology is. It calls for the destruction of white people. And you think Barack Obama didn't know what his church and his pastor were all about? This bastard is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Im sick of the biased media not giving this any attention, because it is an issue. They will see this if he is the nominee for the democrats and he has to compete in a general election, and more stuff comes out, he is done. I can't imagine that that many americans will elect someone associated with a man like Mr. Wright. Mr. Wright is dead wrong. His sermons are sermons of hate. Sermons of Divisiveness, sermons of racism, and anti americanism. I dont care if he only said this stuff once, once, and even twice, and even three times as we have seen is too damn much, and I for one will not support a candidate that has attended a church that speaks of this kind of "black christianity". I was sitting here "trying" to watch the debate between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and I literally started yelling obscenities at the television on several occasions. I think I have finally figured out that I absolutely, vehemently disagree with all of either candidates policies. These people are idiots. These people being Clinton and Obama. I can't even stand it anymore. How can people think that things that they want to implement if they win the presidency would be good "change"? Listen, I don't care much for George Bush, and quite honestly, I am sick of the far right of the party. I am down the middle. I would say I am a moderate conservative when it comes to security, fiscal responsibilities, and social views. I am sitting here listening to all of the change talk, and I can say I dont want this change. They ask, are you better off than you were four years ago? I can say, yeah, absolutely I am. Things are shaky in the country and abroad, but I'm fine.

What got me insanely mad was when they started talking about Healthcare. Look, I know firsthand that our healthcare system is in shambles. Doctors dont care about patients, nurses are overworked, and therfore dont give caring, adequate care to patients, it is all about the money. There is no doubt that things need to be changed. But, Hillary wants to make it a mandate for EVERYONE to get health insurance. If you dont, then she is going to garnish your wages. Give me a break. That is socialism. If I dont want health insurance, then I have the right to refuse it. You cant FORCE anything on me. The democrats want MORE government. MORE TAXES. Do you realize, if we elect Barack OBama, we will have the largest tax INCREASE IN HISTORY? Are you kidding me? We already pay a shit ton of taxes, and it is ridiculous. I once had over 3,000 dollars taken out of my paycheck one month for taxes. No doubt some of that is going to lazy, drug dealer, P.O.S. people. Other parts of it are going to support ILLEGAL ALIENS who land in our emergency rooms. Im sick of it. Listen, you can take your healthcare plans, your taxes, your gun control, your cut and run and surrender in wars, and shove it up your ace. I can't accept it. But guess what. The sheep that follow these people will. They want change, and are willing to give up freedoms for that change. These people are Nuts.

I will tell you one thing. If someone comes to take my guns away, they will roll me away in an ambulance, probably dead. I tell you another thing. I dont want to, and I may not pay extra taxes if that is what happens. The IRS will throw me in jail I guess. Over 200 years ago, didnt a smart, brave group of people revolt against a government because of taxation without representation. Do you realize we pay the highest tax rates in the world, and yet our government debt is over a trillion dollars? Are you kidding me? People, you better read Obama's plans and policy stances instead of falling for his good speeches, good looks, and appeal. We better start questioning him about some things of substance, or else we are going straight back to the seventies. Wake up people.

My family

It is valentines day, and I guess I am feeling loving today. I just wanted to say, dont take your family, or your friends for granted. Love them. Appreciate them, spend time with them, praise them. Your family is the most important thing in your life. I love my mom, my grandma, my close cousins, my wife (especially) more than you could imagine. I am so proud of my mom. She has come so far, and is such a good mom it is unreal. My grandma has been resilient in the loss of my grandpa. I know she misses him very much, but she knows she will see him again one day, we all will. She has stayed strong, when I know it is nearly impossible because it has been for me on a daily basis. I would go through torture, starvation, dehydration, death, anything for my family, no questions asked. I love you all so much, and grandpa, I know you know too. You are my guardian angel now and I know you are watching down proudly on all of us right now. We will see you heaven!

I also couldnt be blessed with better friends. I could probably write a whole page of my friends that are very important to me. I want you to do something before you vote, if Barack Obama is the democratic nominee. If you are an independent, don't try to do the "cool" thing and vote for Barack until you read up on this guy's policies. While I would love to see Hillary get spanked, What we get with Barack is even more liberal than Billary. After hearing about the bill he helped sponsored to commit us to basically pay a UN tax for the Global poverty outreach program (we would be required to spend 800 billion dollars + to the shady UN, we have seen how the take charity money "and put it to work") I just about sharted myself on my couch, threw a bottle at my tv, and then asked my dogs how americans can be so snowed, and allow themselves to be snowed. My question is this? Where are we going to get that money? China right? Screw that. They already own us, and look to be building up their military so they can call our debt one day, and then go to war with us. No seriously, this is outrageous. This after he just got done saying we need to pull out of iraq and stop spending billions over there on a failed state (which I agree with) and spend that money on the american people. For education, poor americans, etc. That is a great idea barack, but you just lied through your teeth. You want to support the world, and get us more in bed with the UN apparently, so that we can move closer to the one world government and give up our sovereignty. He is just like every other politician. He wants to spend more than hillary with his "plans, and ideas" that the US cant afford. They are saying all this stuff, when our economy is in shambles right now. Which now, I am going to go off on a tangent.

Bernanke said today that the fed would lower rates again if need be, and that the economy is worse off than thought basically. Are these people idiots? We cant keep putting a band aid on a severed artery. Eventually, it is going to bleed out and die. We can take our medicine now, batten down the hatches for a short period, and get through this mess, or we can just keep delaying the inevitable. Im no economist. But I did sleep at a holiday inn express last night. Common sense seems to be absent in all of Washington, and it scares the bejeepers out of me.

So back to my main point. Dont get sucked into all this hope b.s. Please. America is, can, and will be the greatest company in the world, but until we get these idiots out of office, and get some people that are there FOR the people, we are going to continue to head down the wrong road. Obama is just like every other politician, republican, democrat, etc. They will say what you want to hear, promise you fairy tales, and then when they get elected, they stab you in the back as always. Wake the hell up people. On both sides of the aisle. Your country is being taken from you, the people.

The Amazing Race

I tell you what. It is pretty cool it see what is going down with the presidential race right now. Mitt Romney bowed out last week kind of surprisingly, and Billary seems to be losing her grip. She is on a big losing streak, and Barak seems to be poised to get the delegates needed to secure the nomination (I hope!) It would so awesome to see Hillary get her ace handed to her. She came into this thing like she was entitled (democrats think everyone is entitled to things) to the nomination. My how things change. She just dumped 5 million into her own campaign to stay in the black. I love it. I have no problem with Barak Obama getting the nod, or even becoming president. I don't agree with ANY of his policies. However, he would be a president that i think would really unite the country. Hopefully he could hire enough people on his staff to do the presidential stuff, because Im not sure he has a clue. One thing that surprises me though is that the huckster (mike huckabee) is still in the race. Who know, maybe he is hoping for a nod for vice president, or maybe he is just crazy enough to think that he can get what basically equates to 85% of the vote from here on out to win the nomination. Now that would be a miracle, but you never know, I hear he is in pretty good with the guy upstairs. He may be able to pull it off!

Now, I was going to dedicate a seperate post to this, but Ill just lump it in with this. Glenn Beck really pissed me off. If you have read any of my previous posts, you will see that I was pretty into the Glenn Beck show. Tonight was the first night I have watched his show in nearly two weeks. I just couldnt take his pandering to mitt romney anymore, and his incessant critisism of John McCain. It was so apparent that he was for romney from the get go, and when McCain started going after him, he didnt like it. Why? Because he is a Mormon, and so is Beck. I am getting sick of these conservative commentators like glenn beck, sean hannity, ann coulter, and rush limbaugh just lambasting John McCain like they have. I am giving up the secret of who I will vote for right here. That is right. McCain. You know why? Because he will work with the other party. He will work with the democrats, and isnt that the ultimate goal? To agree on things, so that the people that they represent (thought it seems that they have forgotten how they got there already) can get the things they want and need. I didnt agree with some of his immigration policies, or the campaign finance reform. However, he showed that he isnt so blind that he will only work with republicans. I more and more think about dropping my status as a registered republican because I am sick of all the partisan politics. All these idiots in congress do is argue against each other and try to promote themselves and their party to the front. All you hear is how the democrats have to win the white house. What if ALL of congress, all of senate, and the president were democrats, or republicans. It would suck! This is a democracy. A place for different view points and different ideas. I dont want to be forced into liberal thinking, but I also dont want to be forced into the ultra conservative side of things either. There are left wing liberal nutjobs, and right wing conservative nut jobs.

I saw Ann coulter on Hannity and Colmes saying that she would vote for Hillary Clinton over John McCain. WHAT? I nearly jumped out of my seat. I couldnt believe it. The reason she would do this is because she says the republicans need to hit bottom and revert back to the conservative ideology that it was founded on and known for. Life is about progressing, and evolving. The republican party is moving more to the center. That is what the american population is doing. It is reflective of what is going on. Glenn Beck said the same thing today. They think that if the democrats win in November, then 4 years from now everyone will be fed up with them, and then a republican will win the presidential election. This is destructive to the ideology and the party that they are talking about.

I think McCain is the right candidate for the republicans. He actually is conservative if you look at his record. He is a hawk when it comes to the military. He has a strong anti abortion voting record. He is fiscally responsible, he is against pork barrel spending. They just dont like that he will work with the other party. That is their problem with him......Which to me is absolutely destructive to the american political system, and even more damaging to the people they are supposed to be representing.

This is not going to have any links for you to read. Any articles for you to peruse. This is totally observational on my part, and it is time that I wrote it. Those of you who it pisses off, I'm apologizing in advance.

I was sitting here watching Hannity and Colmes tonight, and something jumped out at me. First of all, they have this frank luntz guy, who does these focus groups and they have this meter they use that measures voters responses to candidates. Well, either I am missing when he has the republicans on there, or he JUST has democrats on there all the time. Every time, I see the same damn thing with these people. They flip flop their support all the time. The problem is, they aren't choosing on the issues, they are choosing on one of 3 things. 1) They hate bush and don't care as long as it is a democrat. 2) They want whoever is electable over the republicans. 3) they like who is popular. No issues. Sean Hannity had Luntz ask the people in the focus group to name ONE accomplishment of either Barak Obama, or Hillary Clinton. Not ONE person could name ONE accomplishment. They didn't have a clue. One idiot said, "he is a good orator!", yeah buddy, that is opinion, not accomplishment. Another said, "Obama is likable!", are you kidding me? There was one fat red headed guy with a long sleeve yellow shirt with his legs spread wide open and had on some shorty shorts that made him look like he wasnt wearing pants. I almost barfed. These people were ALL verifiable morons. Every one of these groups that I have seen, the people don't even know what they are talking about. They are just there acting like they care about the issues. It seems to me that a lot of the voters who are "democrats" have these qualities that jump out to me when I hear them comment and speak about their candidates:
*They are filled with hate for Bush and the Republican Party (yet their democratically controlled congress has lower approval ratings than President Bush)
*They blame everyone else but themselves for problems.
*They always want to "give" people things. They push for "entitlement" for the welfare nation, and minorities. (Whatever happened to the "pursuit" of happiness, you can't just be given it)
*They are all about "choice" and political correctdness, yet whenever someone so much as talks about christianity, abortion, or the military, they yell and scream like sissy's.
*The one's that I have heard talk, give speeches, etc, seem to me to be very weak in character and disingenuous.

Now, you can jump me all you want, but another thing that my grandpa always pointed out to me locally was the number of catholics that vote democratically. One reason for this is because the democrats are supposed to be for the "working, blue collar" american, yet how can you agree with the democrats position on abortion if you are a catholic, or evangelical christian? Even the pope admonishes abortion as a sin, so according to the infalliable pope, if you vote for a democrat, then you are sinning because you are voting for abortion. I just want the answer to some of these things.

I believe there are crazys on both sides of the aisle. There are people that are left wing liberal nutjobs, and there are people who are right wing conservative nut jobs. I fall somewhere in the middle. I would call myself someone who has common sense, and can make decisions on my own, instead of following the sheep on the far right, or the snakes on the far left. Hopefully you can make your own decisions as well instead of falling victim to the hype on both sides.

We need to take our medicine America. The fed can't just keep cutting rates. That is just going to devalue our dollar and increase inflation. I can't believe the idiots that run this country sometimes. We got ourselves into this mess as a whole. Politicians, ourselves, banks, the list goes on and on. Lets just get it over with. Agree or disagree? The longer this goes on, the worse it will be when we finally do take that pill. Either way, it will be hard to swallow. The longer we put it off though, the bigger the pill gets, and we are going to need a huge glass of water to get it down out throats. But you can't say we don't deserve it!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry to those of you who have been visiting my page and not seeing any updates. I have been very busy. I have still been keeping an eye on the news, but I am trying to make some moves to make my life better. I have always wanted to own my own business and be my own boss. I have always had ideas on how to do that, but maybe not very good ones, or very well thought out ones. I got excited when I came up with my newest idea because for the first time, my wife thought it was a good idea and backed me 100%. I have been researching a lot the last couple weeks about my idea, and I hope to start doing something in the next month. I would like to be doing this full time in 6 months to a year (that may be overly ambitious, but you have to have a goal right?). Right now may be the time to do it also with what is going on in the economy. I will keep you updated! Please wish me luck!

As I sat here tonight thinking about what to title this blog, there were several titles that I passed on, but here they are:
What the Hell?
We are screwed?
How are a bunch of idiots running our country?
What is going to happen?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Like it or not, the outlook does not look good for the economy in 2008. I work in the mortgage business, and see the effects first hand. In the last 6 months really is where things have just gone down the crapper. I went from closing over a million dollars a month most months, to not being able to scrounge up a loan to save my life. Appraisals coming in lower and lower. A lot of houses coming back as being in an oversupplied and declining market. It is kind of scary. So what are the american people going to do when they can't keep borrowing against the equity of their homes? Who knows? We get less and less refinances where we are consolidating debt because the equity isn't there. There are more and more people on adjustable rate mortgages who waited and waited, and now their rates adjusted, and they are flat out screwed because they can't refinance because there isn't enough equity in their home. So now, like I said, what is going to happen? Well, this whole mess is going to spill over into other markets. It is already starting to happen. We are starting to see more and more late payments on credit cards, or just not paying them because the interest is so high. Once this really starts taking hold, then people are going to curb their spending even more, because they don't have cash on hand, and don't have any credit left (which is starting to happen also), and we are going to be thrown headlong into a Big, Bad, Recession. Really, it could be worse. If you read the article above about the similarites between 1928 and 2008, it really is quite scary. Once spending slows down, the economy will be in trouble, because the thing that has been propping our economy up (over 60%) is spending. Once the money dries up, then the economy topples, right? If I am wrong, please tell me I am. I want to be wrong.

The fed keeps lowering rates, but is this the answer? No, because it causes more inflation because the value of the dollar declines (as it has been for quite sometime now). This is another scary thing facing our economy and country. It has helped exports, but that is it. What happens when China decides to pull our card on all of our debt with them? The dollar sinks. Better buy some gold! I guess we should all buckle down, and be prepared right? It seems the media fuels this as well, because I wouldnt even be writing about this if I didn't hear about it every day. I'm afraid that when it does happen, no one will be ready, and it will be scary times, but let's hope not. I do like the ideas that the republican presidential candidates have brought up in the debates when questioned about this issue. They say cut taxes, but the big thing is, cut spending. I'm not sure they can really do this because they love to spend, but I think it is time to start taking care of the U.S.A. instead of getting involved in everything that comes up around the world. We give away so much money to all these countries that we should not be. What if we kept it and invested in OUR future, instead of theirs. How about we fight the war against terrorism here at home? We have a border crisis that no one ever hears about because the media is Pro illegal immigration. We need to secure our borders first!

So Bush is over in the middle east trying to come up with a peace agreement between the israelis and the palestinians. Yeah George, that seems like something you should really be worrying about right now. He is also over the begging the OPEC nations to cut the prices on oil. Good Job Mr. Bush. Beg. I supported Bush for a long time, but now, more and more, everytime I see him, all that comes to mind is moron, idiot, and a lot of other choice words. But really, I could say that about EVERY single politician that is in congress, the senate, state level, etc. We are so out of it, that we don't know what we are doing anymore. Let's take care of us and be greedy for once. Without We the People, there is no United States, and it is time the political morons realize this and save us from ourselves......

Maybe the problems of our country all come down to one thing. How unbelievably divided we are as a country. You have democrats on one side, republicans on the other. Then you have your fringe groups of left wing crazy liberals, and right wing religous nuts. Then you have independents out there that really are the people with any common sense left.

George Bush accomplished one thing while in office. Dividing the country further along political lines, capitalizing on what Bill Clinton was responsible for starting. Back when Clinton was in office, the republicans were trying to burn him at the stake, now it has come full circle. Democrats are in control of congress, and they want to be sure that Bush fails and is seen as a complete failure in his presidency. Bush is an idiot. That is for sure. My grandpa always said that he though Dick Cheney was the real person in charge, and I think he may be. What is wrong with this? The fact that someone is "in charge". It's the people who are in charge, right? Wrong. Because we have elected a bunch of representatives that do not do, or fight for the things that We the People want. What is it going to take for us to wake up? It wasn't that long ago that there was a civil war in this country (in the terms of history). Granted, the chances of someting like that happening now are slim to none, we still need to exercise our voting rights because they are just that. Rights. Get up off your butt when election time comes near and VOTE! I don't care if you are a liberal, a right winger, a fiscally conservative republican, an independent, an alien (space alien), whatever, get out there and vote. If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself.

The Presidential Primary Mess

Is it possible that in the firt 3-4 primaries we could actually have different winners in each? Iowa was a surprise. I mean, really, it was. Are the American people finally standing up for themselves. Romney and Clinton both think they can BUY the election because they have the most money, yet both of them got beat handily in Iowa. Obama. Wow. Huckabee, not so wow. Listen, I don't want to be predicting anything, but a democrat is going to win the presidential election. There is not one republican candidate that has shown they can beat a democratic candidate. I dont want Obama to be president. I dont want clinton to be president. I damn sure dont want edwards to be president. However, I can honestly say that I dont want any of the republicans to be president. Mccain will let the flood gates open up for illegal aliens. Romney is a snake in the grass. If he wins, we will have a decent economy, but the rich will benefit the most. Giuliani is a moron. Everything he says in the debates and forums is about 9-11. Ron Paul is insane, but amazingly, I probably agree most with some of his ideas (so i guess im crazy, but i like to think I am a constitutionalist). Fred Thompson has been the biggest disappointment to me of anyone. Fred, what the hell? Why are you running for president. You dont seem to even care when you are up there answering questions. I think he is the best choice, but you have to be able to rally people behind your cause. No one even knows what Fred's about, because he hasnt told us.

While I dont remember the 70's too well (i was a late 1979 baby) from what history tells me, we are in nearly a mirror image of what was going on then. Republican corruption leads to an ineffective democratic president (jimmy carter) who won because he was the candidate of change and a likable guy (ala obama and huckabee). Iran is knocking on our doorstep (the republican national guard confronted some of our navy ships in the gulf over the weekend, trying to set off world war III i would guess) gas prices are at an all time high, inflation is creeping up and up, and we have a very unstable economy (that the government tells us is strong, oh its so strong, wake the hell up!) and Russia and Red China are becoming more agressive towards us than ever before. Hmm, what the hell do we do? We have a bunch of people running for president that are going to lead up further towards this path of crisis. The only candidate that I would trust with our security in the future is john McCain, because he understands the stakes, and has actually lived through war and been a POW. He is a true american hero, however, I'm not sure he could beat a democratic front runner (even though through his policies, he may as well be a democrat with the McCain-Feingold legislation, McCain-Kennedy legislation, etc)

So what do we do? I don't know. I think we should all stock up on guns and ammo, canned food, and build a bunker to climb in because it may come to that in the next 10 years. Hopefully though, maybe Jesus will come back and I'll be caught up in the rapture (if Im lucky). Good night.

Political Caucus Circus

Who really cares anymore? We better start caring. We had better start voting as a whole country, instead of a quarter of a million people in each state choosing who the presidential candidates for the whole nation are going to be. It's unbelievable. I am guilty of it just like everyone else. I don't vote all the time. I vote in the national elections, but I didn't vote locally here this year. I am just bitter as all get out at the candidates on both sides of the aisle. I really can't say that I want any of them to be president. About the only one I wouldn't mind seeing would be John McCain. I don't agree with all of his views, but he would be the most experienced person to do the job. I got all excited when Fred Thompson threw his hat in the ring, but the guy is too lazy to get anything done it seems. I hope he proves me wrong, because I think he would be great, but come on Fred, you are lagging behind against candidates that are not even near the bar. On the democratic side, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Obama win, but he is too inexperienced, too green. As long as it's not Hillary, I guess I don't mind too much. I don't think our country can take having Bush I, Clinton I, Bush II, and then Clinton II. What would happen after Hillary was done, would Chelsea run for office? Lord I hope not. We need to end these political family dynasties and get some fresh meat in there!

R.I.P. Benazir Bhutto

So, the imminent happened last week. Benazir Bhutto was assasinated. Anyone who didn't see this coming had to have had blinders on. She had so many enemies that there was no way that she could make a successful return to politics in Pakistan. What an interesting woman though. She had twice been prime minister before. Both times being ousted. I do think that she genuinely wanted to lead her country to democracy though. I think that she was true to her cause. Obviously, because she died for it. Now Pakistan seems to be on the edge of civil war possibly. I think we coddle Pakistan too much. Just because Musharraf agreed to be Bush's ally in the Mideast in the fight against terrorism doesn't mean that he really is our ally. The guy didn't really have a choice. Richard Armitage (former deputy sec of state) basically told him, join us, or we will bomb you back to the stone age...

So what is going to happen? The big problem here is obviously, they have NUKES! They also have a high concentration of taliban and al qaeda living on the borders, and actually right out in the open in the city of quetta. Islamabad is also a hotspot it seems. I suppose we WANT Musharraf in power, because even if he is a snake, he will bend to the will of the U.S., but he is definately playing us. I saw a shot last night on CNN special investigations about how corrupt the Pakistani government really is, and how in bed they are with the terrorists groups. They basically look the other way. Well, I guess we will see what happens. The Iran thing seems to have cooled down a bit since the release of the NIE report a few weeks ago, so now I guess we watch and wait.

It does still amaze me though, that in parts of this world, in the 20th century, there are women being oppressed, people killed for their beliefs, torture, religous intolerance (more evident than ever right here in the USA), child porn, sexual assaults, etc. All this bad stuff going on, and why? I thought we were a more civilized people than this, but we apparently are not. Like it or not, War and violence will always end up being the answer to arguements between countries, that is just the way of the world. Until this Earth is Burned to ashes and everyone is judged, we will just have to try to make it a better place to live in step by step. We have come a long way, but it seems we are sliding a bit recently. Lets try to reverse that. It starts with you and me. R.I.P Benazir Bhutto.

I saw a pleasent surprise today when I was watching the news this evening. It looks like John McCain is gaining some steam in the Presidential campaign. I was worried he had all but been written off. I have to be honest, I am glad to see the race so wide open. If you will remember from a previous post, I had stated that I thought on both sides, all the candidates were a bunch of posers. I still think that, but I am interested in seeing who ends up emerging on both sides. I'm not anti democrat, and I'm not pro republican, though I probably vote more republican than anything. I don't like that democrats always raise taxes, and seem to believe in entitlement. I heard John Edwards say today that if he were president, he would work towards every american having the same oppurtunites that he has had in his life to be successful and become a rich, pretty, 400 dollar haircut getting terd burgler. Am I missing something? EVERYONE ALREADY HAS THAT OPPURTUNITY. Even the poor kid living in project housing. It is what you make of yourself. It takes effort. I feel like the democrats want to just give everyone something that others have had to work very hard at. I already give money up every paycheck for welfare, social security, healthcare, you name it. Chances are, I will never use a dime of what I have put in because our government programs are so screwed up that if social security and medicaid dont go bankrupt, it will be a miracle.

Back to my point. I am sorry I get sidetracked so easily. I do believe that John McCain would make a good president. I think he really is a good man. I think he has some liberal tendencies, but all in all, he is a good republican (except for his proposed amnesty bill this year). Mr. McCain sure has sacrificed a lot for his country. Being a POW and the torture he endured for years, I coud not imagine, nor do I want to. He is a stand up guy. Level headed, yet you can tell that he won't be backed in a corner by anyone. My biggest concern about a democrat being elected is my real fear that our security of our country will crumble. With McCain, I believe that he would not jump us into a war that we do not need to be involved in because he has been through the horrors of war, but at the same time, if something did happen, and a response was needed, he would do it right. I would feel secure with him being president. When it all comes down to it, that is what is important right? I hope that John McCain would somehow come out as the nominee. I would be all for that. It looks like it could happen as it seems huckabee may have peaked already, and guiliani is having a meltdown for some reason. Now, we just have to hope that Mitt Romney has a meltdown. It isn't because he is mormon, it is because he is fake. Everything about Mitt is made up. He is just a little too good looking, a little too agreeable, and seems to be willing to say about anything to get into office. We don't need a Republican Candidate that is the same type of person as the dreaded Hillary Clinton. Please lord no.

I'm not a proponent of abortion, except if it is in the case of incest, rape, or the mothers life is in danger. So, Jamie, I'm glad you are at least going to try to take some responsibility and accountability for your actions. Just please don't treat your kids like your sister does. Please. Okay, so the redneck hillbilly is really going to come out in this post. My wife makes fun of me because I go to the gas station so much. But, the gas station has everything you need. Okay, let me clarify. Convenience stores. That is what they are called right? Her whole family always makes fun of me about it, and before I started to try to eat better, I would get food all the time at the gas station. You know, the real greasy pizza, pizza pockets, egg rolls, cheese sticks, hot dogs, and best of all, Chicken Gizzards. Yes, Chicken Gizzards. The sweet, chewy, fried food of the Gods. Gizzards are like a delicacy in the rural areas of southern Indiana. If you are from New York, or L.A., you are probably saying, "What the heck are chicken gizzards?" Well, my city slicker friend, they are the chewy goodness of the chicken. They are normally fried, but you can buy like a pound of them for 99 cents at the grocery store and do whatever you would like with them. Some people fry them, but if you buy them from the store, you should go and catfish with them. They are good, like chicken livers are, for catching catfish. But the secret of it is, you have to leave them out in the sun for a while and let them start stinking. The smell might kill you, but if you can stand it, and you can stand putting them on a hook, then you may catch a big old catfish. Then you dont have to eat the gizzards, you can fry up some fiddler filets! So, I thought I would make this list for my fellow southern indiana, and other rednecks in other states that enjoy gizzard goodness. I am well educated on the gas stations in a two hour radius of Evansville, so this should be a great list. I don't quite know what to make of what has happened in Iowa the last couple weeks. You had the two top dogs, with the most money sitting at the top, and then in comes a preacher from the same town as Bill Clinton, and he is sitting on top. What can we contribute his rise to? I would say the fact that the conservative right is pining for someone who they can support. I admittedly and ingnorantly dont know a whole lot about the huckster. He seems very eloquent when he speaks. He uses humor a lot. He cites his faith without fear. I like that. However, Im not sure who he really is? I guess we will see. Please let me know what you, the reader think of him and leave me some comments. Do you think it is even possible that he could win the nomination, or is this just a phenomenal short term spike in his popularity that wont carry him long term through the other states?

Dixon Pennington

I have been meaning to write this post for a while now. Now I have even more reason. My wife's grandfather just passed away this week. I didn't know him really at all, but I share in her pain. When you lose a loved one, it is hard. Even if they have been sick for a long time, and it is for the better, your heart still longs for them. I lost my grandpa in July. He was my dad. I think I have said it on here before. I don't have much of a relationship with my dad. I never met him until I was 15 or 16. I won't bash him on here, I wish him the best. My dad, my father, was Dixon Pennington. He was the Man in my life. I was very fortunate to be raised by my mom, grandma, and grandpa. I had a good upbringing. I learned right from wrong (even though sometimes I still had to be a stupid kid and do bad things that got me in trouble). My grandpa always meant so much to me. I started this site kind of as a tribute to him, though I dont have it mentioned anywhere here on this site. My mother's side of the family's history is Amazing. Between her and my grandma's side, are some of the most amazing, interesting, smart, people I have ever known, and heard stories about. The Pennington family is especially intriguing to me. My grandpa joined the army at age 17 and fought in World War II. He was from humble beginnings. Lived on a small farm in Spencer County. His Dad was a strong willed, faithful man who fought in World War I. His father was Dixon Pennington (who my grandpa was named after) who seemed from what I have learned to be a very charismatic man himself. One important politcal figure in the Pennington Family was my great, great, great, Grandfather Dennis Pennington. He helped bring the state capitol to Indiana when Indiana became a state, and I believe, was the first speaker of the house in the Indiana Congress.

I will always have great memories of my grandpa. He was the most genuine person I have ever known besides my mom and grandma. He was just so kind hearted. He loved God and the lord, and was a great christian leader. Always involved with the church and knew the teaching of the bible very well. His faith always amazed me. He loved me so much. I knew it. Sometimes I would rebel when I was younger, and say things I shouldnt have that made him mad, and I wish to god I could take those things back. When he started his decline in health, I would always tell him it was just in his head, and that he was alright, but he wasnt. I feel terrible about that now. But the fact of the matter is that I was in denial. I couldnt imagine him not being around and I didnt want to face it. I think he knew he was my hero though, and I told him that when we found out that he may not pull through his sickness. I think that meant a lot to him. He is missed by so many, and it doesnt seem possible that it has already been five months since he passed. I wonder sometimes if he knows how much I miss him, and how much I wish he was here. I struggle every single day with it. I know he is in heaven with all of our loved ones who have passed on. I just wish that I could talk to him and hear his voice again. I talk to him everyday like he can hear me, and i think he can. I dream about him a lot and he tells me he is okay and he loves me. It gives me comfort in a sense, but makes me miss him that much more. But one thing is for sure, everything that he taught me did not fall on deaf ears. I am far from perfect, but I will always stand up for what is right, and I will always be a friend to anyone who needs it. I will always help someone out, and I will always have a good heart. I will always love like he did. I will always protect my family and do my best to take care of them. You can count on that. I am the man of the family now, and his were big shoes to fill, but I hope grandpa, that I am doing an alright job so far. Our bond will extend pass the grave, and we will be linked together in spirit through God and Jesus Christ. I look forward to seeing you again in the future, and know that a piece of me left when you left, but it was filled with your wisdom and guidance you taught me. I feel like a man now, and thank you for that. I miss you, and I love you. I'm sure Ill See you in my dreams soon : )

I am very seriously considering going back to school to become a television weatherman. I could do it. I wake up every morning, and do basically the job that they do. I can usually tell what the temp is going to be, and if it is going to rain or not. I was watching this local weatherwoman, (can't remember her name) and on this certain station they have what is called the 3 degree guarantee. Well, she missed it by about 11 degrees today. Good job, apparently, you missed the class in grade school about estimating.

I can remember when I was growing up and looking at the paper to see what the weather was going to be before going off to school. I usually had some kind of sports practice after school, so i wanted to see what type of weather we would have, and whether we would be outside, and if it was going to be hot, cold, rainy, snowy, etc. I remember the paper being pretty accurate. Now, they don't even put what they exact temperature is going to be. They put something like this:
Sunny, with some clouds, chance of rain, high of 70-75 degrees. What a bunch of crap! Even the television forecast is like that. Hell, I could get up in the morning, wake up, and say, hmmm, today it looks like it is going to be 50-55 degrees. Looks like it might be sunny today, could be partly cloudy, and there is a 50/50 chance we will have some type of precipitation today, rain, snow, freezing rain, I'm not sure, but it could happen. Give me a break! The damn storm spotters are more accurate than our meteorologists around here. It is unbelievable! All I can say is, Ron Rhodes, look out buddy.

And they are implying that abstinence education isnt working............Well, guess what, even if you wear a condom, you can still get pregnant. It isnt that abstinence isnt working, it is that more teenagers are having sex, and not being safe about it. Another contributing factor........The decline of moral values in our youth. We have kids that watch movies and listen to Hip Hop, and Pop music, and they take it literally. They act like the artists who sing about having threesomes, humping everything they see with no regrets, talking about T and A, and how they want to hump, hump, hump. There is a difference in me, or an adult with common sense listening to this junk and a teenager listening to it. The teenagers dont have anyone at home telling them the difference between right and wrong anymore. Parents arent involved like they used to be. Why? Because they dont want the responsibility, they would rather sit them in front of the TV or internet and let them do whatever they want, watch what they want, and look at what they want. Wake the hell up parents. The kids that are about to be adults soon, and didnt have parents involved in their lives like they should have are going to do things the likes this country has never seen (and not good things). It will be interesting. We can place the blame on their parents for being lazy and not being active in their lives. Thanks a lot. Now we are going to have to deal with them, and the rest of the little criminals that will be coming up here in the next ten to fifteen years. Im sure prenancy in teens will continue to rise as well. Oh well, dont say I didnt tell ya so!

I never really thought that I would be writing this. I really didn't. I have always believed in the american system of government. Always supported the President. No matter what. I loved Ronald Reagan, George Bush I, Bill Clinton, and then George II. But, after the last 2 years, everything that has happened in the Bush Administration has finally taken its toll on me. I cant look the other way anymore. I can name a few things that I think have led me to this view I now have, but the one in the above article put me over the edge. Bush has beat the drum of war his entire presidency. There are many to blame for 9-11. The terrorists, the clinton administration, bush's inaction when he took over, not taking it seriously, etc. I have always supported Bush and Cheney. Even drove around proudly with their bumper sticker on my truck for months on end, and laughed at people who still had their gore stickers, and kerry stickers. Now, maybe they should laugh at me. Look at what is going on in this country. We are more divided than ever before. We have stuff going on that no one knows about, we have stuff going on that nobody wants going on. We have destroyed our credibility in the world because we have decided to become Team America, World Police. We were right for going into afghanistan. But why the hell didnt we focus on that, and finish the job. Saddam Hussein has never been a threat to the United States. Never. He may have wanted to be, but where are the weapons of mass destruction, right? We got so sidetracked with hussein, that we forgot about afghanistan, and now things are starting to crumble there as well. We are facing a resurgent taliban there and renewed violence. Our military is stretched so thin right now, that if something happened here at home again, an attack, or a natural disaster, we are screwed. I mean look at how bad the government screwed up when katrina hit. But that does go all the way down to the local level. But the point is this,

Iran. Bush has been beating the war drum on them for quite some time. At first, when it started, I thought with good reason, but who really thinks that we need to be sabre rattling right now? Look at how much respect we have lost in the world right now. Why make it worse. Why constantly threaten people? I am not saying that the regime in Iran is not bad. I think it is terrible. The little monkey president over there does a lot of talking himself, but that is just it, he is talking. So they suspended their weapons program back in '03. That is fantastic news. Thank god the intelligence community didnt screw this one up (or did they) That is another valid question. But here is Bush, up there today backing up his rhetoric against Iran. Here it is, plain and simple. Iran is like a short guy with big man syndrome. I know a few of those. They may be enriching uranium, but we just need to keep an eye on them, and trust our intelligence. Also, we dont always have to be making public threats against them. Why not use our covert ops when we need to, and not broadcast it to everyone that hates us. I just dont understand it.

I am not liberal. I am far from it. I dont vote a straight ticket at the polls, I vote for the best candidate. I have voted for democrats many times. Locally, nationally, etc. I am conservative, but that doesnt mean that I am deadset on a republican becoming president next year. They are corrupt on both sides. We need to throw them all out, and start over. Fresh. One thing I search for is the truth. One thing I want is the truth. One thing I believe I deserve in life is the truth. We arent getting it from Bush and his cronies, and we arent getting it from anyone in washington anymore as far as Im concerned. Being in Politics runs in my family. It may get reborn with me sometime in the future.

I wanted to post this tonight, and give my buddy Scott some props. I am trying to get him to start his own blog, but he is too cheap to upgrade from dial up to high speed internet. Anyways, buddy, I couldn't say it any better, so I thought your words put it exactly how I see it.

This might be a good subject on your blog. Unfortunately most people would probably agree with such cr@p since they don't know anything about the mtg industry. Let's see, I think we should give all people their $ back that they lost in the stock market, at the gambling boat, at the horse track, dog races, or any other action that they took that had any risk involved. Un-freakin'-believable. We should get our money back for all the lottery tickets that we have bought and not won on. This list could go on and on...... while we're at it, let's punish the people who were smart home purchasers and obtained fixed rates and send them a bill. If you think about it, since I have a fixed mtg, I am being penalized for my good decision, since I am paying 5% instead of 4% on an ARM I could have got and would continue to get under such a communist plan. Maybe I do need a blog and write about big brother and how the U.S. is becoming closer to a communist country every day.

This was one of the first posts I did. In it, I said I would come back with some facts. I apologize for the delay in doing so. When I do these posts, I try to find information from different sources. Sources that are conservative, and liberal alike. I dont want to present info from just one side, because Im not trying to MAKE you into a conservative. Im trying to make you aware, and make you think. I said I believe the country is heading for a major recession, or even depression. I mentioned that I think the government is not being forthcoming about the real state of the economy, or that they are hiding the fact that they know that there is a $hitstorm tsunami headed our way. I just got done reading this article on courier and press. As always, I get sucked in and start reading the comments, and before I know it, I am so irately mad that I am posting my own comments. Ok, so you get the jist of the story. There is some "Gang" at Harrison High School here in Evansville called the East Side G's. I hate to break this down to black and white, because that really isnt what this is about, but lets break it down and call a spade a spade. I am guilty myself. I listened to a lot of rap music when I was younger. The difference was, I could listen to it, and not start acting like the idiots that were singing about it. I treated it like it was, entertainment, not a handbook on how society should act. You want to be a thug huh? You want to be a gangsta? You think you are so tough huh? You know who is tough? Guys like my brother in law Jay, who are in the Marines. Guys like my friend Scott who lives with a disability every day, and never complains about it. People like my grandpa who lived through the depression, and went off to World War II when he didnt have to, all his dad had to do was buy one more cow and they could have been considered a dairy farm. He went because his brother bob had a disability and couldnt pass the physical. People like these are my heroes. You are never going to be a hero to anyone beating a guy up and putting him in the hospital for talking a little trash. This guy may die. He has a brain hemmorage. How bad ass are you now? 15 vs 1. Give me a break. Just like that crap down south with the Jena 6. That is another topic for another post. If this guy dies, then all 15 should be charged with 1st degree murder, put in prison where they are headed anyways, and throw away the key. What was this over? Some words that were exchanged. Someone insulted? A girlfriend insulted or talked about. Was it deserving of being beaten nearly to death? God, what is this world coming to? Seriously?

That leads me to this. As much as people are fed up with organized religion because of scandal, failures of clergy, disillusionment, etc, we have moved farther away from God being a part of our society. I am conservative, yes. However, at the same time, I am not saying that I want a politician shoving god down my throat every day. That is not what I am saying. But if you look at our society the last 40-50 yrs and see what direction it has headed. Step back and ask why? It is because a lot of people dont have any morals anymore. People dont have a conscience about things anymore. It is all about pleasure. Sex is shoved down our throats, and down our childrens throats every day. Violence is everywhere you look on television. Drugs, alcohol, and adultery are celebrated on television. Yet, you speak the words God, Jesus, Bible, or Christianity, and you would think someone just yelled out the N word on a megaphone. It is rediculous.

Unfortunately the parents of these youngsters shoulder most of the blame. Their parents probably play no active role in their lives. Or they are afraid that their child will hate them if they try to lay down the law. I saw on the news the other day Massachusettes, i believe, is trying to pass a law banning spanking. Are you kidding me? Please tell me you are kidding me. I am against beating your child, but sometimes spanking is the only way to get through to them. Sometimes no matter how many timeouts you give them (which is b.s., its the easy way out for the parent not to have to discipline their kid), or how many times you yell at them, it just isnt enough. You have to get your point across.

Unfortunately, our country is melting away into a cesspool of sex, drugs, violence, anti christianity, and unaccountability. It is very sad. I wonder what the founding fathers would think of us now...... Better yet, I wonder what our Father in Heaven thinks of us now?

Celebrities...........Who needs them?

The most disgusting trend I see in the United States right now is celebrity worship. We think these people are the best thing since doritos, but why? They are pretty, they are charismatic, they are smart, they are saavy, they are RICH, and they make some good movies, music, etc. We watch these peoples lives on TV so much that we hang on their every action. They are hounded by photographers constantly, and they do really stupid things sometimes. Look at how obsessed people are with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Britney and K-Fed, Rosie O'donnell, Ellen, Paris Hilton, etc. Gosh, I get so sick of seeing them everyday. Who cares? These people for the most part are trash. Look at Britney for example, she cant keep herself out of trouble for a week. She more than likely will be dead within the next year or so if she doesnt wake up and take some accountability for herself. Michael Vick. All I can say is how dumb can one person be?

Yet, parents are letting their children watch more and more inappropriate television and movies, and listening to the most disgusting music you could ever imagine, and we wonder why they emulate these celebrities. Parents now adays let the TV do the baby sitting, and we wonder why our kids are so screwed up in this country. Children dont understand the difference between fantasy and reality unforunately. We wonder why there are more school shootings and troulbe involving kids on a daily basis. I'm just trying to figure out what the big deal is about them. What makes me sick is the one's that bash bush all the time, and dont support our troops. They need to realize that if it werent for those troops fighting for us all, they wouldnt be able to enjoy the outrageous lifestyles that they uphold. Do something good for them and your country. Do a USO tour, talk about your appreciation for your troops. Go visit them in Iraq and afghanistan. You can sit around and bitch and moan all you want, but if you were not americans, you would not be as popular as you may be. Please be appreciative. That is all I want to see.

A Bunch of Posers

I have been sitting here for about an hour thinking about what to write about tonight. Not from Lack of topics or stories to write about, but just trying to think of things that struck me over the last 3 days or so. I watched the Youtube republican debate the other night on CNN. I have been watching both the democrats and the Republicans when I can. All I keep thinking is that these people are all a bunch of Posers. I'm not sure I am real comfortable with the thought of any of these candidates being president. You have, of course, the democratic front runner Hillary Clinton, with Barak Obama close behind. I guess if I had to pick the lesser of two evils, I would go with Obama. I definately don't want Hillary in office. I think it would be a terrible thing. Before you go saying, oh, you redneck, anti-woman bigot, hear me out. How about something new? We have had Bush I, then Bill Clinton, then Bush II, and if she wins, we will have Clinton II. Bill was a good president except for the fact he couldnt keep it in his pants. If he ran for president again, I would vote for him in a heartbeat over anyone out there (surprised to hear that huh?) Bill was shrewd. He was likable. He was respected in the world. However, he wouldnt back down from a fight. I like that. Hillary, in my view, stayed with Bill because she knew it would do her good in her hope to become a politician, and eventually president. I think that she is scripted, a robot, a fake. I think she will say and do whatever it takes to be president, good or bad. I get sick listening to her annoying voice. I get sick of hearing her ideas and policies. I am sick of her period. However, American voters may shoot themselves in the foot by voting against Bush. Most people right now are so fed up with the job that the current administration that they would vote for anyone who is a democrat. Im afraid this will get us in even more, possibly worse trouble.

Obama impresses me because he seems to be real. I dont get the sense that he is putting up a front. Even if his views are so far off from mine it burns me up inside, I do like that he is honest. And it might actually be great to get someone in there that doesnt have a lot of experience in washington. He is green for sure.

On the republican side, you have Mitt Romney and Rudy G out front. Mitt reminds me of a clone, plain and simple. I dont think you can trust him as far as you could throw him. He is just too scripted as well. Rudy G. is probably my choice overall right now. The bad thing with him though is that he is basically a democrat with a republican disguise on. But how could he not be after being Mayor of one of the most liberal, if not #1 most liberal city in the U.S. As long as he doesnt try to come after me and take my guns, we are cool.

The biggest flop has to be Fred Thompson. My gosh. I was all about Fred leading up to his announcement. He is conservative, he has experience, and i think he looks kind of like a president. But Fred, buddy, what happened. It seems like once he announced his candidacy he dropped off the face of the Earth. I dont understand it. Are all the comments about him being lazy true? I'm so disappointed. Maybe soon he will start turning it up, but right now he is getting killed, and i think if people knew more about him, they would really like him. Ill stop there, let me know about what you think about some of the candidates. I was looking at the poll about who is your favorite front runner and saw that all but one have voted democrat. Just remember, the congress has a lower approval rating that Mr. Bush does right now..........And Congress is controlled by a majority of............Democrats!

The Great Ethanol Debate?

So, is Ethanol really the answer to gasoline? This is a big question. One idea of this site is I want to spark some good debate on things. I myself do not think it is the entire answer to the oil problem. One thing is for sure. Oil won't last forever, and quite frankly with the state of the american consumer, we are not going to be able to keep affording it. Now the big thing is cars that run on E-85 fuel (chevy in particular). Yipee. Let me first say that I am a chevy man. However, as I have gotten older, I have learned to not believe everything I see, hear, or read. I think it is great that we have come up with this ability to run this fuel, however, the first time I saw a gas station that sold E-85 I was taken aback. I thought, "Now how can this be? This can't be right...........This crap is just as expensive as regular 87 octane gasoline!"

So what is the point? What the hell does it matter if it runs on E-85. It doesn't. They just want you to feel better because you are running a flex Fuel. I mean, seriously people. Have we come to the point that we are so stupid? I am going to put some links at the end of this for you to read about the pro's and con's of Ethanol and let you make the decision for yourself. I can tell you one thing though. I may seriously become a farmer soon. Also, if you are a smart investor, invest in all the non oil related energy commodities that you can right now because in 5 years, it will have made you a ton of money (but I dont have my stockbrokers license, so I'm not "advising" you to do this.). One other stock tip, invest in ECO FRIENDLY companies as well. We are still on the tip of these, and as you can already tell, it is becoming a popular trend now. Maybe a Fad? I'm not sure. Sorry to get off topic................So to close, I just want to add this- If I were to get the idea that I could run head first into a brick wall and break through it, eventually, after running headlong into that brickwall 30 or 40 times (i have a hard head) I am going to start realizing that the same result is going to happen everytime. I am not going to break through it. I could have just ran into it once, said ouch that hurts, decided that was a real dumb ass idea, and tried something else. However, it seems that our government, and our politicians want to keep running into that wall over and over again on an array of topics including the energy problem. How about we save ourselves some concussions, and put all our heads to better use by figuring out a way to bust through that wall with something other than our heads. Did you follow all that? Or are you too concussed to understand?

Is Dale Earnhardt Jr. a "good" NASCAR driver?

Jr., let me first say that I am a big fan. I mean no disrespect by this post. I want to see you succeed. I want to see you win, and more importantly, I want to see you win a championship. As many Jr. fans can probably attest, it has been painful to watch him drive the last 3 years. All this potential, but no consistency. Was it the team? Was it the equipment? Or is it the driver? I tell you what. I have never seen the wheels fall off of any other sports team (no pun intended) quite like what happened to the 8 team this year. It got to the point where when poor Jr. blew an engine it didn't surprise me. I dont know how many he blew, but it was more than a handful. However, there is much to debate on why. Was it faulty equipment? Bad Engines? Or was he driving it too hard (if that is possible). I love the arguements of the far right of the junior fans who were drumming up a vast conspiracy involving teresa tainting Jr.'s equipment after he announced he would leave DEI to drive for Hendrick in '08. That is just rediculous to think that, period. Why would she even put a car out there if that were the case? She had too much to lose to do something like that. I mean, millions to lose.

I myself am very excited for the '08 season to get here. I am tired of hearing my friend's Scott and Brent constantly rib me every week about Jr.'s poor performances (they are Gordon, and johnson fans, respectively). I guess now we are all teamates, but man, it is going to be rough if he ends up being like casey mears. That would be a disaster. I'm not sure that I could go to work everyday if it ends up like that. I will give him a year to warm up though. I suppose we shall see. I myself, believe Jr. is a great driver, he has just had a run of bad luck (which just so happens to be a long time now)

This post is for my buddy who left the comment yesterday on Our American Heroes. I just wanted to clarify for him what I meant by left wing radical liberal. When I say this, or left wing nutjob, etc, I am talking about the extreme left movement that we are seeing in this country. A good example would be Moveon.org. I am talking about people who are so far left, so out of touch with the common sense majority of america, left and right, that you cant hardly believe some of the things they say. I have lots of liberal friends. We disagree on things yes. I listen to what they have to say, and to be honest, once i understand their point of view, we sometimes end up agreeing, and vice versa. There is nothing wrong with being liberal. I am in no way ever going to say that. We have a free country. However, there are those who think their views are the only views that are acceptable on each side. They won't listen to others opinion. Perfect example of this is an editorial that was in our local paper the other day. This guy in my opinion was attacking the right. Attacking christians, republicans, etc. Basically saying that we are so stupid, so crazy, that there is no hope. I took exception to this, as you will see if you read the comments on this article at the bottom of the page. This guy not only wrote the article, but then he filled his comment board attacking other people who didnt agree with him. There were some people representing the right though that were doing the same thing, so it goes both ways. I have basically swore off commenting on that sight after the other night.

What also is amazing is the amount of public debt. I tell you what. I think i said in a previous post that I believe we are heading towards a major recession next year, or even a depression. The government has been lying about inflation all year, and if you notice, the numbers they release to show there is not a high rate of inflation are not even accurate.
I am going to try to find some facts about how many american based companies stock have a majority ownership that is foreign. We dont even own our own country anymore. We owe China gobs of money. They in turn are spending the money that we spend on them on their military. They also are not behaving very well in their relations with the U.S. We have been getting all kinds of tainted toys and products. They killed our pets, and now they are trying to kill our children. When is enough, enough already? Today I read an article about the Chinese Navy refusing entry to our naval ships, and more importantly before that, they refused a fleet that needed refueling in the midst of a bad storm that was blowing in. Our American Heroes

I just wanted to write about something that I hold near and dear to my heart in this post. There are thousands of Americans fighting for our freedom in different parts of the world right now. I get upset when I see my beloved left wing radical liberals attacking our brave men and women who are serving our country. My Grandpa fought in World War II. He was in the battle of the bulge. He served his country bravely. He was really my dad, because he raised me along with my grandma and mom. He was my hero, and will always be. Part of the reason he ended up raising me is because of the problems my dad had after he served in the Army in the Vietnam war. I dont have much of a relationship with my father, because I never met him until I was 16. We have had an on again off again relationship since then. But, despite it all, I respect him for what he did for his country. Some people dont understand the amazing sacrifice that these people make. Some come back without limbs, and terrible injuries. Some have been disfigured, burned, and some may look fine on the outside, but they are emotionally torn apart by what they saw, and the battles that they were in and deal with it every day for the rest of their lives. And of course, some pay the ultimate price in death. I recently went with my wife to the Marine Corp ball in Cincinatti, Ohio. It was a great experience to see the pride on these young men and women's faces, and to see how much they love their country. My brother in law, Jay, is a United States Marine. He already put in his 4 years, and then re-enlisted. We kid around, and he gives me a hard time a lot, but I think the world of him because he serves our country, and is a great man. I worry about him possibly having to go to Iraq, but I know that is why he signed up, to defend his country. I appreciate everyone man and woman who serves in every branch of our armed forces. When I see a person in uniform back here in the states, I try to make it a point to go and shake their hand and thank them for their service. You can tell that they appreciate it very much, so next time you see someone in uniform, stop and talk to them, or at least tell them thank you. It is because of them, and the men and women who served before them that we are able to live in a great country and be free.

All I have to say is when a song mentions someone trying to steal your underwear, and then you use the words ninja turtle just so you have something to ryhme with purple, it's quite obvious you have a serious hit on your hands. Or that is how stupid we the consumer are that we pay to hear this stuff. You probably think that I hate Rap Music, but I dont. Maybe Im just too old school, but I listened to Tupac, Biggie, Dr. Dre, Snoop doggy dogg (the old snoop, not the stand in we have now) At least if you overlooked the gross language, gratuitous violence, and degrading of women, they actually had something to say. They weren't just rapping about their ice, and how much money they spend on a daily basis. I guess there is one good thing about it. They keep the car industry, rim and tire industry, diamond industry, nightclub and strip club industry, and tennis shoe and clothing industry going. They are helping the economy. Thank goodness.

Do Something Nice Today!

I don't know why all of the sudden this popped into my head. I want to encourage you to do something nice for someone today. Help someone with something. Call your mom or your grandparents just because. Buy a homeless person a meal, or two, or three. Give someone a ride that needs one. Drop some money in a charity box, do something nice for your wife without her having to ask, compliment someone on a job well done. Pray for someone that needs it. Drop some change in the Ronald Mcdonald house box. Just do something nice today. Make a difference for someone directly or indirectly. Then, I challenge you to try to do it everyday. It will make your life much happier, and the world will be a better place because of it.

I shouldn't even do this song the justice of commenting on it. All I can say again is............ARE YOU SERIOUS? Bird Flu? This makes blood want to shoot out of my eyes! Someone actually paid for this CD, or downloaded this song for money. This Gucci Mane guy more than likely has a lot more money than I do (although it doesn't sound like it because he is cookin up birds to pay his rent still). Maybe I'm jealous. I don't know. It just amazes me that there is a place in society for this trash. Unreal. If I were grading this, going back to my elementary school teaching days, I would give it an F-. It sucks. Looking this stuff up and reading it makes me want to vomit. Maybe later in the week, I will write a rap song about being a redneck and driving my 4 wheel drive, and shooting at turkeys (that is sort of like flippin birds right?). Okay, no, I'm not going to do that because I definately am far from a rapper. One line is he spent a quarter million to look like this, well, with what I have on right now, I spent less than a quarter hundred, what ya know about that?

Good grief! I am worn out. I just got done arguing with some people on our local newspapers website. One story was about 3 low lifes who were driving around shooting people with paintball guns. The other was a editorial by some Left Wing liberal. I have no problem with liberal people. I have a little liberalism in me myself..........Okay, that is a joke. My problem if any that I have with them is how it seems that they believe that only their views and opinions are the right ones. Every one that I have encountered on blogs, comment boards, etc, have attacked me for offering a different point of view. I have been called delusional, a moron, and idiot, a neocon, gosh, the names go on and on. However, for the most part, I have contained myself and not stooped to name calling back at them. It sure is hard. Right now, all I see the left wing media, and left wing democrats doing is attacking President Bush on everything that he does. It is a wonder why this country is so divided right now. I think if people could all get together with their different views and opinions, and put things together, this would be a much better country.

The people who were defending their friends who shot at the people with paintball guns (nearly shooting one's eye out) just totally dumbfounded me. One seemed to be one of the men in custody's girlfriend. I just wonder if she is so blind to think that a guy like this, is the kind of guy that she should be with. The guy has previous convictions for battery and has served jail time before. Chances are, he will be battering her in the near future as well. She probably thinks that I don't care what happens to her. I dont care what happens to her boyfriend or whatever, but I do pray that she doesn't end up a victim of domestic abuse, or even worse, dead. Sweetie, if you are reading this right now, I hope that you can peel yourself away from this guy for your own sake.

I HATE Oil and Gas

Okay, let me first say that you can absolutely hate something, but still have to use it and spend money on it every day. A while back there was a very interesting movie/documentary on F/X called Oil Storm (or something like that, gosh I can't remember, if you can, please correct this!) This movie was on probably 2-3 years ago (again, I may be wrong) If you saw it, it is frightening how much that was in that movie seems to be coming true now. But, any idiot knows that we are eventually going to run out of oil. There is no doubt about that.

I may be way off base here, but folks, next year is going to be a very rough year for this country. Gas prices keep going up, the government tells us the economy is strong, but I think we are going to see a big recession next year. Maybe even a depression. America has stretched itself beyond it's limits economically. People don't have money anymore. They have credit. If you are one of these idiots that are living in a $300,000 home, and you are making $40,000 a year, you need to wake the hell up. Just because a mortgage broker got you "qualified" for that loan doesn't mean that you can actually afford it. This way of living is going to drive the country under soon. Why? Because our government does the same thing. China has us by the balls so bad we may never repay all the debt we owe them. Oil has got to be replaced. There is no question about it. Instead of fighting about global warming, and the cons of other energies, such as nuclear, we need to sit down together regardless of opinions, and put some ideas on the table so that we can save our country. With the talent and intelligence of some of the great people that live in this country, we could have a solid plan in place to make us independent of oil in a months time. It may take $5.00 a gallon gas to make us get there, or a bigger catastrophe, but lets not let it get that far............for our own good. Unfortunately, I am far from a scientist, but there are a lot out there that need to get together.

Hello Friends and Neighbors!

Well, folks. The end of the world as we know it may be starting today. Jason Pennington has his own blog. That is a sign in itself. Let me give you some insight into why I have chosen to start doing this. No, it isn't that I don't have a life. No, It isn't that I can't get a date (I'm actually married, yeah I know, who'd a thunk it....) I am here to save the world. Here to save the world from getting dumber by the second. Dumber because of what is going on in the world today. In our media, in our music, in politics, you name it, I am going to tackle it head on. You may not agree with my opinions (which i encourage you not to!), and you may not even like what I write about. I can guarentee you this though. You will get an honest, common sense (which i think is important), passionate ramble of thoughts kind of patched together for your enjoyment (or utter annoyance).

On this blog, I will tackle things from the alarming state of our country and world, all the way to local happenings in my area. There will be humor of course, but there will also be some things that I hope will make you stop and say, "whoah, what the hell really is going on here!". Please feel free to comment, to email me, but I do ask you, don't be classless, or attack me, because this is supposed to make you think. I also hope that it will spark some ideas that will make our world a better place to live in (isn't that thoughtful?).
