Alarming state of the country

My friend Scott sent me a very interesting link to a website that is a running clock of the National debt. Look at the counter that goes second by second. Blows your mind doesnt it? Here is the link-
http://zfacts.com/p/461.html
What also is amazing is the amount of public debt. I tell you what. I think i said in a previous post that I believe we are heading towards a major recession next year, or even a depression. The government has been lying about inflation all year, and if you notice, the numbers they release to show there is not a high rate of inflation are not even accurate.
I am going to try to find some facts about how many american based companies stock have a majority ownership that is foreign. We dont even own our own country anymore. We owe China gobs of money. They in turn are spending the money that we spend on them on their military. They also are not behaving very well in their relations with the U.S. We have been getting all kinds of tainted toys and products. They killed our pets, and now they are trying to kill our children. When is enough, enough already? Today I read an article about the Chinese Navy refusing entry to our naval ships, and more importantly before that, they refused a fleet that needed refueling in the midst of a bad storm that was blowing in. Here is a link to the FOXNEWS article about it- http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,313244,00.html
A Saudi company bought a stake in Citigroup today- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21988383/
These things are happening daily. If they get to the point where they own majorities in these companies, they could really initiate a hostile takeover, and then we really wouldnt have an true American companies anymore. Maybe I am overreacting, but I think it is definately a sign of things to come. We are giving up the sovereignty of our country day by day, and our politicians on both sides of the aisle seem to not care a whole lot about it.

Voto Pedro para el presidente. Él tiene un plan de la inmigración que beneficie a los E.E.U.U. y a México económicamente y social. Puedes leer su plan de actuación en esto y otras ediciones en su Web site. Ricardo Ciudad de México

Yeah, what he said. Vote for Pedro! Looks like you've gone international, Mr. Redneck.

Good post and this scares me too. Thing is, I don't know what can be legally done about it...Free enterprise means the fatcats can sell stakes in their businesses to whomever they choose, and sadly, patriotism seems to bend over for the highest bidder. I guess the government needs to offer more incentives for large companies to keep their businesses within our borders?

Lastly, on the NASCAR poll, where's the button for "Other ______." I want to write in Dick Trickle.
